About Shawn Veronese:
I have always been curious about death having attended my first open casket funeral of a friend at the age of 14. I've also experienced NDE's and have had the honor of caring for my parents.
Partnering with hospice, facilities, medical specialists, estate attorneys, medicare, and homepathic practitioners, has reaffirmed that there is a strong need for support, education, and wellness for families and patients.
I am recently retired from the Automotivei industry and the Board of Director with Project Purple(Pancreatic Cancer), an ultra-runner, wellness coach, and hospice volunteer.
What brings you to Death Cafe?
Death is intriguing but living is what ignites me. I deeply sense the two are related but so many are uncomfortable talking about how we die that it stunts life. After caring for loved ones I feel called to create a sacred environment to allow others to ask and share their thoughts about the dying process.
What would you like your legacy to be?
My desire is to have touched the hearts, provoked thought and perspective about living through honoring death with many.
Thoughts for sharing:
Worry never robs tomorrow of its sorrow, it only robs today of its joy.
