About Kameron S:

My name is Kameron and i'm interesting in hosting some Death Café's in the Norwich area. I feel death is one of the most taboo topics in our culture which is often swept under the rug. Lets break that taboo and get people speaking.

I'm also interested in emerging psychoyherapeutic techniques which enable individuals to over-come end-of-life anxiety.

What brings you to Death Cafe?

I witnessed multiple bereavements of family members at a young age, and one of the things which frustrated me the most was the efforts people went to, "to shelter me from the process".

As time has gone on I have been working on making sense of the Death and Dying process. I realise now that open and honest communication around the subject is inifinitely more healthy than trying to either shelter somebody from the reality of Death, or bottling up personal emotions of grief and loss.

What would you like your legacy to be?

To enable people to talk more open and freely about the topic of Death, in the hope of enabling people to feel more comfortable when effected by this inevitable life event.

For society and the medical model to be more focused on supporting people in coming to terms with death and mortality, opposed to being too focused of the prolonging of  unwanted and un-needed suffering.

Thoughts for sharing:

The only thing permenant is impermenance.
