About Weaving_the_Ends:

I am a minister through the Universal Life Church with over 20 years of end of life experience volunteering, care-giving, and administration work in hospice and an adult home.

I continue to expand and keep my knowledge up to-date through membership in organizations such as the National Home Funeral Alliance, in-depth reading of new publications and articles, as well as retaining certifications in:

  • Archives and Records Management
  • End of Life Care
  • Gerontology
  • Holistic and Integrative Health
  • Food, Nutrition, and Health

Additionally my education and experience includes a Masters in Library and Information Sciences (MLIS), time working with history of medicine and rare book collections. Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts and Dance with a focus on Directing and Play-writing which provides me the opportunity to assist in the creative expressions of life and death.

What brings you to Death Cafe?

My goal is to reduce the stigma revolving around death and as such reduce the burden associated with the end-of-life process.

What would you like your legacy to be?

If my obituary recounts I touched hearts and souls I'll be a happy soul in the afterlife.

Thoughts for sharing:

For certain is death for the born
And certain is birth for the dead;
Therefore over the inevitable
Thou shouldst not grieve.

Bhagavad Gita (250 BC - 250 AD), Chapter 2
