What brings you to Death Cafe?
Many personal losses, addicted parent, Existential therapy, views on death as a natural part of life and one of the 4 existential givens (ultimate concerns) of life, which are: death, freedom, isolation and meaninglessness. And simply scientific curiosity.
Talking more openly about death can often make it seem less scary and it's a chance to enrich our lives.
What would you like your legacy to be?
Breaking taboos, fear and silence around uncomfortable topics, including death, losses and grieving. Breaking stigma of addiction. Well, a lot of breaking (through), as you might see.
Thoughts for sharing:
A popular saying has it that death is nature’s way of telling us to slow down. It would be better to hope for some other way to pull up, reflect and reorder our lives.
