About Joan Maione:

Most often, if not every time, the death conversation is difficult at best.Birth is the cause of death and one can not have one without the other---it is impossible! Let us open this door and keep it open for future generations. Holding a Death Cafe is my contribution for all to embrace, understand, explore and accept.

What brings you to Death Cafe?

I am a Hospice Volunteer and have worked in the death industry for over 10 years. It is my way to give back way before I meet you in Hospice.

What would you like your legacy to be?

Kindness, forgiveness and acceptance.

Thoughts for sharing:

Although we try to fight death, it is inevitable, therefore go in peace.
