About Terrace Hospice Society:
The Terrace Hospice Society (THS) is a Volunteer based non profit that provides grief support and education around end-of-life care. THS offers several Grief Support groups throughout the year including Rainbows for all Children and Traumatic Loss.
In an attempt to normalize conversations around death and dying we have introduced and number of auxiliary programs such as Peaceful Words book club, Let’s Talk About It video club, Death Café, Advance Care Planning workshops, and Lending Library.
What brings you to Death Cafe?
We love the concept of discussing the delicate topics of death, dying and grief publically. Death is a natural process of life and doesn't need to be spoken of in hushed voices. Together we can, hopefully, start to normalize these conversations.
What would you like your legacy to be?
The Terrace Hospice Society is working hard to be able to build a local Hospice House. This is the ultimate legacy that we could leave for future generations.
Thoughts for sharing:
The end of life deserves as much beauty, care, and respect as the beginning.
