About Joslyn Lawrence:

Joslyn Lawrence has studied Death Midwifery and Spiritual Psychology and is a Hospice volunteer.  She has done many public art installations around death and dying and is a firm believer that if we embrace and even love the fact that we are all going to die someday, it will have a positive impact on our lives and our culture.  She is interested in educating and having conversations about death with all ages of people and holds grieving circles, dinners, dances and yoga classes focused on grief as a daily practice.

What brings you to Death Cafe?

Connecting to a death positive community and making conversations about death more accessible to all.

What would you like your legacy to be?

That all ages of humans, all families, have a healthy, open and ongoing discussion and awareness about death and dying and living each moment with that awareness, bringing deeper living and deeper connection.

Thoughts for sharing:

"In each thing there is an insinuation of death.  Stillness, silence, serenity, are all apprenticeships."

Frederico Garcia Lorca

“Grief is the midwife of your capacity to be immensely grateful for being born.”

Stephen Jenkinson
