About Annie Huntley
I'm a Northwest native and chaplain-in-training, passionate about grief and end-of-life education.
With my mom’s ALS diagnosis in 2014, so began my very unexpected and up-close journey with terminal disease, the medial system, care taking, and the general “WTF?!” of losing those we love.
I realized during this time how most of us are so unprepared, unequipped, unskilled around the topics of death, dying and grief. Hosting Death Cafés are one way that I'm working to elevate the conversation about some of the most taboo topics - that effect us ALL.
I'm endorsed by the New York Zen Center for Contemplative Care, and am now in my third year of studies. I've served at the The Brooklyn Hospital Center and Seattle VA.
