About this Death Cafe
Death throws our lives into perspective. It’s when we think about death that we realise how precious our lives are. Together we can help each other by turning those thoughts into spoken words. There is no fixed agenda, but we will start by inviting you - no obligation - to say why you have come along.
Cakes made by the facilitators!
About Trevor Moore and Carrie Thomas
Facilitators Trevor Moore and Carrie Thomas are both funeral celebrants. Their work throws into focus the value of every life - the legacy we leave. In the course of their work they also meet those nearing the end of their lives as well as those coming to terms with the death of someone they loved.
Carrie works in end of life care as well as providing pastoral support in healthcare and criminal justice settings.
Trevor is co-editor of Words in Pain – Letters on Life and Death, by Olga Jacoby
