About this Death Cafe
Our object is 'to increase awareness of death with a view to helping people make the most of their (finite) lives'. Our culture, with its grief-phobic attachment to the illusion of perpetual growth, expansion, and infinite possibilities makes it increasingly difficult to engage in the counter-cultural activing of gazing into the abyss of our finite fragile mortality - yet when we look, something unexpected may gaze back that will enrich our soul journey. Come for cake and conversation!
