About this Death Cafe
One thing I've always loved to do is learn other peoples traditions, but I cam to realize that death traditions don't get talked about in quite the same way. When I attended my first Death Cafe at a few years ago at a campground in NY, I fell in love with the concept because it presented an opportunity to share and connect in such a light and comfortable way. I have been wanting to hold my own for some time, so now that I have a space to do this in I'm so pleased. Also, my partner is excited about the opportunity to bake things for this event (he will be trying new recipes, I'm sure). This event is being hosted at B'Well Counseling Services and is one of the inagural events we hope to offer as community oriented events and workshops.
About Nicholas Etheridge
I (Nick) am a therapist by profession who is studying grief counseling. I have been working with Baltimore County Crisis Response for the past 2 years before joining the B'Well therapy team part time. I studied at Shippensburg University of PA and before that at Shepherd Univeristy in WV. I grew up surrounded by people who talked about death very openly and fluidly, as well as their own thoughts and beliefs about the dying process and what happens after.
