About this Death Cafe

BOOKING ESSENTIAL - LIMITED SPACES

Located in a cosy village hall, with free adjacent parking, close to Newbury town.

It's a privilege to offer a safe, informal space in which to talk about death and dying; a subject many of us find awkward and difficult. Come and join us to share experiences, listen and learn while enjoying cake and tea.

Places are limited to 12 spaces to help encourage informality and conversation.

About Neeta Madahar and Marie Webb

Neeta Madahar is a visual artist, and yoga and meditation teacher and trained as a Soul Midwife last Autumn. The interconnectedness of life and death and how to lead a happy, fulfilling life underpin her various roles. Vigiling at her dying mother-in-law's bedside in May 2018 was a profound experience, inspiring Neeta to offer Death Cafe events in her community.

Marie Caudwell is a retired yoga tutor. Having attended a previous Death Cafe and seen how it demystifies the subject of death in an enlightening and relaxed way, she desires to facilitate this for others.
