About this Death Cafe

This cafe is being held to create a space where we can get together and talk about death. It is not a counselling session or a place to rescue others. It is a space, if you like, to share your story and your experiences with past deaths or your impending death.

You are welcome to purchase what ever food and beverages you wish as the cafe is fully operational when we meet upstairs. Please rsvp to confirm the numbers for our booking.

There is no fee to attend this meeting.

I have always had death as a close associate through out my life. My first experience of death as a seven year old, was of my Grandfather having his last rites read. I still clearly recall the stillness and peace that accompanied death that Sunday night. Since then my life has been peppered with accidents, suicides & illness. It has brought me to working in environments that assist others to work through death and their acceptance, or not, of it.
