About this Death Cafe
A safe space to talk about death and dying with other people who are also going to die someday!
About Joslyn Lawrence
Joslyn Lawrence has studied Death Midwifery, holds a Masters in Spiritual Psychology, is a Hospice Volunteer, 500 + hr trained movement teacher, parent and practicing fine artist focusing on environmental themes. She weaves years of personal practice and experience into a unique way of holding space for life transitions. Joslyn has also exhibited numerous art installations around death and dying and is a firm believer that if we embrace and even love the fact that we are all going to die someday it could greatly impact our lives and even our culture. She holds grieving circles and dinners, death cafes, dance, yoga and sound classes focused on being present with ourselves as an essential daily practice and is building a collective of transition doulas who bring compassion, empathy, ritual, healing and space holding for people navigating both change and end of life. We are based in Ojai and Los Angeles, California. Please be in touch if you’d like more information, a consultation or to be added to our mailing list.
