About Shae Uisna
Shae Uisna, MA, is a Life-Cycle Celebrant, teaching artist, performer, and lifelong student of comparative mythology and puppet and mask traditions. Ms. Uisna holds certifications in Ceremonial Studies from the Celebrant Foundation and Institute (2008) with specializations in Ceremonies Across the Life-Cycle, Funerals, and Weddings. A member of the CF&I Faculty since 2015, Shae teaches classes in Funerals, Healing & Transitional Ceremonies, and Ceremonies Across the Life Cycle. Ms. Uisna lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband, artist/musician John Daniel Teply and their three wonderful cats. Shae officiates weddings and funerals throughout the Pacific Northwest, runs a Death Café in St Johns, Oregon and is the Founder of the “Motherless Mother’s Day Ceremony.”
