About this Death Cafe

Since I participated to my first Death Cafe' at the Conference for Mindfulness in Society 4 years ago in Chester, UK, I found the Death Cafe idea and set up fascinating. I run about 2 Death Cafe per year and every time participants say the event has transformed them.  A genuine conversation on death as the complement of life offer to everybody in its own way a new life perspective.

About COS International Community in The Hague

Lelia Spada is a Mindfulness practioner and 8 years ago she started to facilitate MBSR, Breathworks and other Mindfulness and Self-Compassion programmes for adults and children in The Netherlands and Italy.

Fr. Sjaak de Boer, COS present pastor, a Mill Hill missionary, obtained his Ph.D. from Louvain University. He worked in Kenya and in Brazil where he was university chaplain and pastor of the Itaguai Cathedral in Greater Rio de Janeiro. Fr. Sjaak began his ministry in Den Haag in July 1998.
