About this Death Cafe

We’re excited to be part of Kalimera Space — a new regional gathering taking place this October in Cyprus. Kalimera is an experiment in community building, inspired by the principles and spirit of Burning Man — a space to create, share, and connect people and ideas.

About Tatiana Kozlova

We are Tanya and Katya, and we’ll be facilitating this gathering. We both completed the Russian-speaking death doula course at the Death Foundation and now practice as death doulas. Tanya also volunteers with Deadly Important, an online center offering free emotional support.

We’re truly inspired by the opportunity to host a Death Café here in Cyprus. We believe that everyone needs a warm and welcoming space to share their experiences, emotions, and thoughts about death. Especially now, when the world brings difficult news almost every day, it feels more important than ever to have a place where we can talk about the fragility of life without fear of being judged.
