About this Death Cafe
Two nurses who want to see Death return to the community experience it once was ratther than the isolating and dehumanized experience it can be more often than not. We belief life can be enhanced by embracing death as normal and inevitable.
About Lourdes and Renae
Lourdes is a seasoned RN passionate about palliative and hospice care and end-of-life with dignity. Lourdes has witnessed countless patients and families over the years struggle due to lack of preparation and understanding of the inevitable last stage of life She is currently offering Death Cafes to open compassionate conversations around the human experiences of death, dying, and grief to reduce the fear and isolation that often accompany them.
Renae Rorex, has 4 years’ experience in multiple health care settings. Death and dying are aspects of care that she has undertaken in traumatic and nontraumatic events.
