About this Death Cafe

Café at Ängsbacka is a meeting place for  folks in Värmland looking for a cozy fire, a good coffee, homemade goodies and great company.  It opens at 13:30 on Saturdays and we will begin our group just as Café is closing, to give us the chance to get hot drinks and cakes before we begin our discussion.  Death is a topic usually avoided, but I have found that speaking about it in all its facets (how do I want to die? what is a green burial?  what happens after our bodies die?  why is death so hidden in modern society? etc.) makes life far richer.  Our discussion will be primarily in English, by the way, but folks who can help with interpretation will almost certainly be around och jag kann lite Svenska :-)

About LeAnn Eriksson

LeAnn Eriksson, originally raised on a farm in the US midwest, has lived and traveled all over the world for decades, following her curiosity and the call of her heart to connect with many cultures and climates.  In recent years, she's been blessed to have spent time with indigenous peoples on every continent.  She's worn many hats in her life, including student, business consultant, linguist, musician, gardener, astrologer, cook, and mother.  Through it all she has curiously explored the mystery of life and what it means to be human.

Since April, 2021, LeAnn has been living and volunteering at Ängsbacka Course and Retreat Center, where she is regeneration project manager.
