About this Death Cafe
Our theme camp will be hosting a Death Cafe at a regional Burning Man event held in Pennsylvania. Easy Bake Coven hosts events and activities that invite people to engage with the macabre in a light-hearted way.
Calling all cuties! Join us for cookies, tea and conversation about death. A Death Cafe is a relaxed space to discuss death openly. Let's help each other move away from the isolation, fear and loneliness that our culture has created around death. Fitting with the Burning Man Principle of Immediacy, conversations about death can encourage us to embrace the beauty and meaning of our finite lives.
This will be a relaxed group-directed discussion with no themes or agenda. Come with your cup and some curiosity :)
About Easy Bake Coven Theme Camp/Kris & Jo
Easy Bake Coven is a theme camp that attends regional Burning Man events in the PA/WV region of the US. We are an eccentric clan who delight in the macabre and find beauty in the messy, dark and strange. We host events that feature non-alcoholic drinks, cookies and lots of puns.
Kris & Jo will be facilitating the Death Cafe. Both have professional experience facilitating conversations about stigmatized topics and care deeply about creating space for discussions of death.
