About this Death Cafe
Death Cafes open space for conversations about dying. Discussions cover the gamut, but the topics come from the participants’ interests. Some people talk about losing loved ones or fear of dying, while others may reflect on the ethics of euthanasia, beliefs about life after death, their hoped-for legacy, or how they wish to be remembered.
We invite you to come together with others to share your stories and feelings, to listen, to accept and know you are not alone.
A Death Cafe is a group-directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives, or themes. It is a discussion group rather than a grief-support or counseling session.
This Death Cafe is facilitated by Philip Geiger, Outreach Manager, Hospice Giving Foundation, and Ed Horsley, M.Div., Chaplain, Bereavement Coordinator, Central Coast VNA & Hospice.
