About this Death Cafe

Conversing openly about death is not always part of our everyday lives, but it’s a topic that affects everyone. Join this welcoming, directed, virtual discussion of death with no agenda, objectives or ideology. Our facilitator Jamie Sarche, a director of funeral pre-planning,  loves helping people to feel more comfortable with the idea of mortality and to helping to treat death as just a part of life.

Registration is required at denverlibrary.org/event/virtual-death-cafe-1. An email will be sent with more information and a link to the program one hour before the event. Please note, this is not a professional support group.

About Denver Public Library and Jamie Sarche

Jamie feels her calling is helping people be less afraid of death. By helping them to provide their loved ones with a planned and funded funeral or memorial service, they create a path for bereavement, long before it's need. Truly, she helps people live a better, more meaningful life.

A seasoned speaker, Jamie brings deep experience in death care to a broad range of audiences around the country, sharing insights and approaches on how to have those difficult conversations and how to address sensitive issues. Extending well beyond death and dying, Jamie's message resonates across industries and individuals, bridging her passion to demystify death while enlightening communicators on overcoming challenging conversations.
