My yoga studio cares for its community and even with several other Death Cafes offered in the DC/Northern Virginia - USA, we feel, especially at this time that it is time to bring "the conversation" to our community and beyond. We follow the Death Cafe principles and are not recruiting yogis. No mats or special clothes needed. ;-)

About Elizabeth Wasserman
Elizabeth is an adventurer cultivating faith, courage and compassion. She reconnected with Yoga late in life at Beloved and it has been nothing short of a personal revival. Her practice supports her physically, mentally and spiritually, clearing the path towards union with her true self and the sangha of souls sharing life on this planet.
Elizabeth is a Beloved-trained RYT-500 hour teacher, certified by Yoga Alliance. She enjoys sharing Yin, restorative, hatha, vinyasa, philosophy, meditation and really any part of the practice! Elizabeth is also a part of Beloved's Befriending Yoga Therapy Sangha.
Elizabeth has a heart for people at the end of their lives after her experience with being there for her parents and siblings. She trained as an End of Life doula*, helping people connect with what is important to them near the end of life. She seeks to support the loved ones and caregivers as well.
*End of life doulas offer non-medical support — providing respite for caregivers, information on what to expect during the dying process, & emotional companionship through life review & legacy and reprocessing after death.
