About this Death Cafe
PLEASE NOTE THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO THE RISKS POSED BY THE CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAKAt a death cafe, we sit in groups of 8 people, over tea and cake, or wine, and simply talk about whatever comes up for us, when we put our attention on the taboo topic of death and dying. The conversation happens organically and generally flows easily, often accompanied by much laughter.
These events are very safe and supportive. We share honestly, we listen, and we don’t judge.
These are not grief support groups, but we welcome people who are grieving, and for some, it can provide a helpful space, in which they can speak openly about their experience, without feeling apologetic.
Anyone, irrespective of race, gender, sexuality, philosophy, belief system is welcome at a Death Cafe.
Booking is essential.
Soft drinks, coffee, teas, wine and cake will be on sale, Sandwiches can be ordered with your booking confirmation.
Please reserve your place by emailing email@example.com Once you receive an email confirmation, you are booked in.
Although the event is FREE, it is organised and hosted by volunteers, and we respectfully request that everyone spends something on refreshments, so that the cafe makes some money, and we can hold on to our venue for our death cafe..
