About this Death Cafe

Death Cafe events run every few months at Popsy's Coffee Shop in Hoylake Community Centre on the Wirral.

This event is completely free of charge but tea, coffee and cake are available to purchase at the venue.

About Martin Poole

Having run a theatre company for over 20 years I am well used to running events.

I have always been interested in people's stories and particularly like to investigate what makes someone tick and how they relate to others. 

Since 2018 I have been working as a funeral celebrant, creating and conducting personal civil ceremonies for funerals, memorials and celebrations of life. I am also interested in creating living funerals.

I am a bereavement volunteer for Cruse and I am also training to be a counsellor / psychotherapist.

I am the proud owner of 2 lovely ginger cats who are settling in gradually following a rough earlly start in life. I think we find each other therapeutic.
