About this Death Cafe

I hope to enable new topics around death and dying to people. I will open myself up to learn, and facilitate. I want others who do not feel comfortable talking about death to come here and talk a lot. I want to share the many ways we can, as I call it, body care. (ways to take care of our bodies after death.)

Most of all, I want to create a space where everyone feels welcome and safe to vocalize their thoughts, theories and feeings on life, death and therafter. 

About Alexsys Chesnut

I am Alexsys (26) I was born and raised in the Puget Sound. I have wondered and theorized about death and dying since my first recalll. I currently own and operate a residential cleaning company with my husband but felt what I have to give to the world wasn't being utilized. I started to volunteer in Hospice in 2018, after seeing a video on Facebook about Death Doula work. This is the space I feel most comfortable and passionate about. I want to help as many people as I can, to not die alone- if that is what they wish. I want people to have better quality of end of life. 

I hope to help open the conversation around Death and Dying, and hold space for it to flow.
