About this Death Cafe
With my mom’s ALS diagnosis in 2014, so began my very unexpected and up-close journey with terminal disease, the American medcial system, care taking, and the general “WTF?!” of losing those we love.
I realized during this time how many of us are unprepared, unequipped, unskilled around the topics of death, dying and grief.
Hosting Death Cafés is one way that I'm working to put the these tough topics center stage.

Im a Northwest native, and a chaplain-in-training, endorsed through the New York Zen Center for Contemplative Care. I’ve served on the Spiritual Care team at the Seattle VA, and 2 years at The Brooklyn Hospital Center.
