About this Death Cafe
We're interested in creating a space specifically for the LGBTQ+ community to talk about our unique thoughts, concerns, intersections, and hopes around death/dying. We'll have "conversation starter" cards for small group discussion, but will mostly let things progress as they will. This event will be facilitated in English.
ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION
The San Jose Peace and Justice Center is equipped with a wheelchair lift and the entrance from the parking lot has three steps up. There is a single-stall all gender restroom inside.
Food served will include vegan and gluten free options.
Please refrain from using strongly scented products before coming to this event.

About Kris Bifulco & Dr. Janet Childs
Kris Bifulco (she/they) is the Peer Support Coordinator of the LGBTQ Wellness Program.
Dr. Janet Childs is Director of Education and Critical Incident Stress Response at the Centre for Living with Dying Program at the Bill Wilson Center.
Together, they have done community work in grief, loss, and suicide prevention.
