Death Cafe at Home, Didsbury

Death Cafe at Home was a really positive evening.

Thought-provoking, gentle and even uplifting, it was very special to be part of a group of people who were all there to talk about difficult and hard stuff - it opened up the way for conversations and questions that are too often left unspoken, and felt like a really authentic and genuine experience of relationship and connection.

It was really encouraging to read through the evaluation forms after the Death Cafe. Key words repeated throughout the responses included: Open, real, accepting, calm, warm and peaceful. A far cry from the ‘morbid’ or ‘creepy’ assumptions that some people may have had! Everyone who came along said that they would encourage others to visit a Death Cafe, and there were many requests for Home to run Death Cafe's in the future.

We've now scheduled our next Death Cafe for Wednesday 3rd February, 2016.
