About Ashling:

I live in beautiful Squamish BC and I am very grateful for it. I love to be outside and in nature, hiking, swimming. We are surrounded by ocean, rainforest and mountains.

I am an ecosystem management technician and have always felt called to inspire people in their understanding and interconnectedness.

What brings you to Death Cafe?

I really believe in living everyday in as much gratitude as possible and that includes living in the moment.

I think that when we are more aware of the reality of our death that we may choose to live a more fulfilling life.

I want to help change the way we look at death in North America. Helping to facilitate conversations I think will help death become a less taboo topic.

What would you like your legacy to be?

To leave the world feeling fulfilled in all my relationships that I was genuine and authentic and caring.

I hope I can help people die better.
