This was our very first Death Cafe in Wealdstone, organised to mark Dying Matters Awareness week. 8 local people attended(actually 9 if we include a "babe-in-arms"!) and none had been to a Death Cafe before. We started with the usual introduction and after that conversation flowed easily. We talked about many death-related subjects:talking to children and parents about death, what dying might feel like,bereavement,leaving something in writing for those left behind, making the most of the "living years". Evaluations were very positive. It was described as "Interesting" "Inspiring""Thought-provoking""Sociable" "Relaxing" ""Affirming" "Rewarding" "Worthwhile""Enlightening".
