I am really excited to start a Death Cafe in Hastings. I would really like to do this in tandom with anyone who would like to join me especially if you have skills in end of life care or interest in this area.
I am complete novice at this but after attending cafes in London i feel this is a great movement and an exciting way of getting people talking about what is such a subject of taboo..

What brings you to Death Cafe?
I have always been very scared of death and dying and found that going to a death cafe has helped to open my eyes to a subject that lets face it we are all at sometime going to encounter either freinds , reletives and ultermatly ourselfs.
This movement is such a good step in the right direction and bringing people together over a cup of tea and a cake for a chat can spark great conversation
What would you like your legacy to be?
well i would my legacy to be one of growth to imspire people to be who they are underneath all the conditioning that childhood and society heap on us , to allow people to step out of the box and fly

Hello, the original Hastings Death Cafe is now defunct due to personal reasons and I am the new organiser of Hastings & St Leonards Death Cafe in its place. I cannot figure out how to delete the old one to avoid confusion, please help. Thanks Daisy Lawrence

we are holding our first death cafe in 4 days time, it has had a good responce and am expecting a good turnout.. while its not a place to 'sell' i wanted to put out on a table business cards and flyers for other death related events, workshops and services ...
