About ajanta judd:
I'm a practitioner of Buddhist philosophy, meditation and mindfulness. I see it as a philosophy - not a religion. I'v done training as a Buddhist Chaplain in pastoral care work and am a qualified counsellor with qualifications of BA Honours and Grad Dip in Buddhist Psychotherapy & Counselling. I was a death celebrant for both my mother and my father and believe in the eternal and ongoing essence of each sentient being. I am familiar with many aspects of death and dying and although I have a Buddhist background I do not impose this philosophy on others and have utmost regard for an individuals right to their belief system.
What brings you to Death Cafe?
I live in rural Ballarat which is about 100 kilometres from Melbourne Australia which has a Death Cafe. Ballarat has a population of 90,000 people with an ageing population and I am interested in the Death Cafe concept. I believe wholeheartedly that death conversation should not be shunned and should be a matter of course in healthy conversation. I also like the social aspect of meeting to talk about this subject matter.
What would you like your legacy to be?
