About Cowichan Valley B.C. Death Cafe:
We are an active group of community members seeking to support open , thoughtful conversations about death and dying . The Cowichan Valley on beautiful Vancouver Island is a warm hearted progressive community .Both indivduals and insititutions within the community endorse the Death Cafe initiative. The Library offers a room , another agency prints posters, another provides tea/coffee/ cakes.
A cadre of intereted volunteers act as facilitators to ensure the conversations are lively, respectful of all beliefs and give everyone a chance to share ideas.
Listeners are welcome too!
What would you like your legacy to be?
A community comfortable with death and dying . Citizens that live every day to its fullest because they have had an opportunity to discuss what is important with each other. Attitudes pervading our community that support conversations about death and dying .Services provided for the full spectrum of needs around death and dying.
