About Northern Alberta Death Cafe:

I am a helper....  and a caregiver... and a companion

What brings you to Death Cafe?

I wanted to start this cafe in our area as I know talking about death is not easy for people and I wanted to help create a venue for this to happen...

What would you like your legacy to be?

My ability to be with people in the toughest of times.

If I could I would build a large serene place for people who are in pain to go. Like Dr Wolfelt has in Fort Collins.

Thoughts for sharing:

None of us will get out alive.....

one full year of holding the Northern Alberta Death Cafe....  Some very small groups and some larger, they all seem to fit and the conversations are always interesting and some even thought provoking.....

With the new political push for dying with dignity there are some ethical questions around all of the choices one can or hopes to be able to make on their own.

Blessings to all you followers....

Seven brave souls ventured out this night in nasty COLD weather to share stories and thoughts about DEATH.... Tonight's conversations went from concerns about your wishes being followed after your/our death... what if you specifically ask for a burial and your loved ones think a cremation is the best!! Who do you want to have responsible to make sure these wishes are followed? How to open up a conversation with loved ones about dying, when it is not something they are wanting to talk about!!! Another concern is dying without a will..... family not being so fair with those left behind can be a tragedy on ...
