About Jodi Adcock:

I am 42 years old and have lived in Oklahoma most of my life.  I have also lived in Missouri, Texas, Montana, and Alaska.  I am currently a student at UCO, attaining my masters in Counseling Psychology.  My main focus is on grief and loss counseling.

What brings you to Death Cafe?

My mother attended a Death Cafe gathering in Houston and loved it.  She immediatly called me to tell me all about it.  Oklahoma City does not have a Death Cafe currently and I think they need one.  I am excited to get these gatherings started in the OKC area.

What would you like your legacy to be?

I could not have children so my legacy will not be of a generational nature.  I want my legacy to be that I lived a powerful life, that I truely respected and cared for individuals and my community.  I hope to leave this world having made it a little better.

Thoughts for sharing:

It is interesting to me that most American cultures rarely discuss death and dying.  It's almost taboo.  This inevitable topic should be let out of it's box.  Some people really need to talk about it.  I hope those individuals find their way to our Death Cafe.
