Death Cafe write up: Rte. 90 Rockport Death Cafe

Once again, we had a turnout of 20 folks from around mid-coast Maine, to talk about death!  It was a wonderful setting and the group divided itself into 3 groups that stayed together til the end of the night.  I asked folks if they wanted to shift around, but it seemed to work out on its' own.  Cupcakes and warm tea & coffee helped everything be a comfortable Death Cafe.  I thank everyone for visiting and sharing their thoughts, caring and listening ....

Death Cafe write up: Death Cafe Camden Maine!

Camden Maine was the place and a very warm, thoughtful group turned out on a brisk fall evening for this Death Cafe.

We had different discussions than previous cafes and that was the grace of allowing discussions to come forward!

It worked well and we had 19 participants, great supporters to provide the space, coffee and cupcakes!   People asked each other how to remain in touch, so connections & support was offered...  I am fortunate to be part of this community, thank you Peter Lindquist

An evening in Hope, Maine... I helped organize the first Death Cafe near the town of Camden, where I live.  The following write-up came to me a few days later from a particpant and lovely lady in the audience.  I think she got the idea behind the group event!

Tolerant treatment of touchy topic

Death Café has an ominous ring to it. Still, I went, and met up with over twenty others who attended the event in one of our neighboring towns.

The group included a wide range of ages, both men and women. Everyone at one point or another smiled, got teary, laughed out loud, reflected, shared ...
