I'm currently working with a team of N.H.S researchers to see if anyone has had the benefit of Death Cafes evaluated by any outside source .....the relevance and wonderful work of the Death Cafes is being recognised now by many outseide groups and depts......

An interesting and enthusiastic meeting with new and regular members ...we covered a whole range of death related topics with people generously sharing their ideas and experiences ....as always the two hours go by quickly and there was a feeling of lightness,relief and community as people could share things that are not always easy in the usual social situations....we of course shared refreshments and CAKE !

A beautiful sunny day and our first meeting held at Arnos Vale Cemetery...a fascinating historical and cultural Victorian Cemetery combining with lots of exciting events.A vibrant and sensitive group of people met,familiar faces and some new people all wanting to explore and share ideas...Time flew by and as always fascinating topics were explored....The mood though sometimes reflective is never heavy and the Cake is superb! Heres to our next one in June!

As usual an interesting and interested group of people gathered sharing thoughts and experiences ...some new faces and familiar others ...Dean welcomed people and the conversation flowed and flowed! Always people say how they leave uplifted and a sense of relief is experienced as things can be talked about that are sometimes hard to bring up in other situations.....we thank Cox and Baloneys Tearooms for all the support they have given us .....Next Month we will be meeting at Arno's Vale Cemetery in the Spielman centre ...refreshments supplied by Kate's Kitchen cafe .

An evening of new and regular members who all were keen to explore and share ideas ......such a great feeling of community and in fact people didn't want to stop talking when we had to finish! So many expressed the relief and sense of being able to unfold and explore their concerns,experiences and ideas ..... As usual great refreshments and we look forward to the next meeting!

Our first meeting for the New Year's hosted by Mary and Gwen .....a meeting that attracted a lively group of people all curious to share and discuss ideas and experiences about death..a wonderful range of ages came together and explored this subject with a sensitive approach, refection and of course welcome cups of tea and cake! We are a friendly group and welcome new and older members .

A Lively group of people came to our November meeting, new and old members, all ages keen to discuss and share ideas and feelings about death and life...conversation ranged from the practical to the metaphysical, people really listening and responding to each other, sometimes moments of reflection sometimes wonderful laughter as we puzzled and shared all kinds of responses and feelings about death. Gorgeous cake was consumed as were tangerines, chocolate coins and pulling of crackers....the meetings are always interesting and a real sense of camaraderie was experienced.....looking forward to our next meeting in February 2018!

A rainy Autumnal evening was brightened up by our first meeting with new hosts and a wonderful group of people.
We are lucky to have such a supportive cafe Cox and Baloneys Tearoom who fully understand what we are trying to do. We had a cosy room,tea and cake (of course!).
A quick introduction led into fascinating ideas,experiences, hopes and wishes towards life and death. Animated conversations sprang up and I was impressed with the groups sensitivity towards topics and each other. Conversations became profound, exploratory and there was also laughter....in fact time went so quickly we all felt we could have talked and shared ...
