Death Cafe profile for Latha
I am a person who is continuusly putting in best efforts to unlearn the things that i have learnt through my life - the unquestioned practices and beliefs with which the people are brain washed to follow certain norms by which people are divided into so many groups and often are forced to live a hypocratic life just to fulfill the expectations of the soceity!
What brings you to Death Cafe?
I believe that death is also born when any life is born and is accompanying us every moment of our life. Though inseparable they are, I have always wondered why are people so afraid of death, that discussing it creates a qualm.
So when I read about Death Cafe in a Newspaper, I got caught with it.
So, let us become friendly with Death, the inevitable!!!
What would you like your legacy to be?
To fly high when in happiness, to get deep when in sorrow, to live life in its entirety without harming others and without being perturbed by others' reactions, embrace truth and not hypocrisy and to face death in peace with gratitude and fulfilment.
The understanding that all the above is possible!
Thoughts for sharing:
"Why should I fear death? If I am, death is not. If death is, I am not. Why should I fear that which cannot exist when I do?"
"I have come to know that it [death] is an important thing to keep in mind — not to complain or to make melancholy, but simply because only with the honest knowledge that one day I will die I can ever truly begin to live."
—R.A. Salvatore, The Halfling's Gem

The word death is always feared by people. I have always wondered when death is inevitable and we keep seeing it every day, why are people not accepting it.
