This gathering was another fascinating discussion. Sometimes we see death and limit it to death of the physical body. This evenings conversation was greatly about death of Dreams - life goal dreams, daytime dreams and what all that encompasses. Grieving the loss of that life dreams seemed to be as great as grieving the loss of a loved one. After all, aren't life dreams a huge part of our finite lives? That gave us much to talk about. The cake was fantastic!

Our gathering last night was held in honor of Jon Underwood. Great grattitude was expressed for his work and the continuation of Death Cafe. It seems as though people want to talk about death, and are gratefull to have the place to do it. New comers were present and the conversation was very interesting and flowing. Topics of fear, connecting with the Ancesters, soul fragmentation, and reincarnation were brought up and discussed. The idea of having the funeral before death was brought up. Physco Drama was talked about. All in all, it was another fascinating gathering with very interesting conversation. And of course, the cake and tea was ...

This was the first Duluth/Superior Death Cafe. Hosted by Paul Schneider and Laura Star. For our fisrt gathering we had 10 attendees. During our introductions many topics for discussion came up. Business/corporate/financial aspect; "questions keep coming up about death"; Honoring this part of our journey; reincarnation, dreamtime; truth, consciousness not local; fear was a good part of the conversation. Fear of discomfort, fear of aging, fear of social ideals of death. All just wanting an opportunity for open discussion. As a group, we remained as one group for our time together.
