About this Death Cafe

I have been drawn to running a local death cafe for the last couple of years. The more I talk to people about death the more I feel that people need to talk about death.

With thanks to St John's Garden Centre for allowing me to host the meeting there.

About Mavis Eastaugh

I have spent my working life with and talking about death. I am a Civil Funeral Celebrant at present and married to a Funeral Director.

I trained as a Nurse and my degree is in Human Resource Management and I am a trained Bereavement Councillor.

For more than 50 years I have worked with people at the end of their lives. It has been my priviledge to have sat with many people as they have died.
