About this Death Cafe
We want to create a space to talk openly and intersectionally about death.
This is not a bereavement group or a therapy session. Anybody can come: mourning or dying, macabre or fearful. This isn't a judgmental space, nor is it a space that will try to swing you toward a particular belief or way of thinking. This is simply a space to come together and talk about death, our own beliefs, and our own experiences.
This is our first Death Cafe and won't be horribly regulated. Ideally we will split into small groups and have conversations in that form, and maybe shuffle halfway through to talk to more folks. At the end, an optional survey will be provided including questions about your own beliefs, experiences, hopes, and fears around death, as well as what you would like to see from future Death Cafes hosted by Sebastian and Louis.
Some baked goods will be provided and others can be purchased at the cafe along with coffee and tea. Donations will go toward printing, food at the cafe and a tip to Espresso Roma for hosting us.
