הקרנת סרט תעודי ״השיעור האחרון״ ומפגש עם הבמאי דני ווסרמן ילווה במפגש חברתי של ״קפה מוות.״
מפגשי "קפה מוות” הם טרנד חדש בישראל ובעולם. אנשים מגיעים לשבור טאבו על כוס קפה ועוגה: מדברים על המוות ויוצאים אופטימיים, עם תחושה שהחיים קיבלו משמעות עמוקה יותר. בהנחיית לורי שוורץ, מנחה ותיקה של קפה מוות בארה״ב ומייסדת הוספיס בניו יורק.
גם בסרט "השיעור האחרון” מתבהר כי דווקא במודעות למוות ולא בהכחשתו ממתינות מתנות יקרות ערך לחיים עצמם.

בכל המסורות המיסטיות למוות יש חשיבות רוחנית עצומה בדרך למפגש עמוק עם החיים. הבודהה אמר שהמדיטציה על המוות היא החשובה מכל, הסופים מבקשים מההולך בדרך "למות לפני שהוא מת". בזן הדרישה היא "למות את המוות הגדול" ובתהלים מופיע המשפט המכונן "יָ֭קָר בְּעֵינֵ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה הַ֝מָּ֗וְתָה לַחֲסִידָֽיו.״
"השיעור האחרון" חוקר מה מקומו של המוות בחיים? האם כדאי לנו לחשוב על המוות? ומהו השיעור האחרון והחשוב כ"כ שהורה יכול לתת לילדיו?
ב״קפה מוות״ אנשים באים להתיידד עם המוות. זו לא קבוצת תמיכה לאבלים, ולא קבוצה לחולים טרמינאליים. הוא מספק סביבה בטוחה ורגועה לשיתוף של המחשבות, הרגשות והחוויות בנוגע למוות ולמותינו.

To Death and Back: a Cinematic journey and dialogue about Death and Life
Screening of the documentary film “The Last Lesson”by Dani Wasserman (English subtitles) followed by meeting with the director and a separate Death Cafe facilitated by Laurie Schwartz, who has led over 35 Death Cafes in the US, is the co-founder of a Hospice in NY (1979), and co-founder of Circle of Friends for the Dying (2012). There is no theme to a Death Cafe all conversations welcome.
Hashiur Haaharon (The Last Lesson) follows the journey of Dani and his family after the death of his father, as they attempt to understand death and find a healing approach to the end of life. With the help of Spiritual Care Provider ((מלוה רוחני) Hila, Dani realizes that by getting closer to death, precious life opportunities awaits all of us. Link to trailer:

Death Café is an international movement where people drink tea/coffee, and confidentially have conversations that break the taboo of talking about dying and death. Death Café is not a bereavement support group. It does provide a safe and relaxed environment for conversations and sharing of your thoughts, feelings, and experiences regarding dying and death.
People leave the gatherings feeling “informed,” “connected,” “fulfilled,” “thankful,” and “uplifted.”
Price: 35 NIS includes film, tea/coffee.
Death Cafe is free.
