About this Death Cafe
Death cafe provides permission and opportunity to share our thoughts and feelings on the subject of death and dying. For some attendees this is an awakening, a time to discover what those thoughts and feelings are.
Others have given their own mortality a great deal of thought and have made advance care plans and shared them with loved ones. What a wonderful mix of human experience to sit down at tables, share hot drinks and cake, learn from each other, shed a tear and have a laugh.
About Linda and Anne
Linda and Anne have experience in palliative care settings. We are passionate about encouraging fellow humans to reflect and talk with each other about our common fate, that we shall all die some day.
We hosted our first Death Cafe in January, as new hosts of a previous version of Death Cafe hosted in Comox, which ended in September of 2017. We are presenting another one in response to the enthusiastic feedback from the January event, and are looking forward to making the experience better and better for those attending.
