About this Death Cafe
Having attended Death Cafes elsewhere in London and found them really helpful, Joy suggested to Camilla that maybe we could offer similar opportunities to people in East Sheen. We both feel there is a great deal of benefit in providing a safe, welcoming and confidential space in which people can talk about death. The Death Cafe will happen in a private room. If a small number of people come, we will sit around a single table. If there are larger numbers, say twelve or more, we will divide into separate groups around tables, with the facilitator moving between the groups. Then we will convene at the end and people can share with the wider group anything they thought interesting.
As a principle of the Death Cafe movement, refreshments are always made available to participants, in particular tea and delicious cake!
Villa Rosa a friendly cafe where people can buy tea, coffee and cake. Rosa the proprietor has lived in the area many years. The café is on Bus routes 33, 337, 493, and a ten-minute walk from Mortlake Mainline Station. It is a very short walk from the War Memorial.
Booking a place is advisable via Camilla on 0771-332-7217
