About this Death Cafe
We believe in Jon Underwood’s vision for Death Café’s and are delighted to be able facilitate this in North Hampshire. We aim to alternate between Petersfield and Alton to reach a wider audience.
The Allen Gallery is a lovely venue whose volunteers on the night give up their time which we appreciate. You can enjoy the art exhibited on the walls and the gift shop is open too. We feel this venue lends a special something to the evening.
We tend to facilitate the group but if the numbers rise, we may end up with smaller groups sitting round a table.
It is not a bereavement or support group, it is very much your evening. It is your opportunity to ask or simply to listen or to contribute to the converstion which others like you also want to have.
About Wendelien McNicoll & Diana Opio
Diana is a hospice palliative care nurse in the community and Wendelien a counsellor specialized in palliative and bereavement counselling.
We met while doing the Soul Midwife training with Felicity Warner School of Soul Midwives.
We are both passionate about opening up a wider conversation on death and dying and striving to improve on end of life care in any way we can.
