About this Death Cafe
The first Kendal death cafe at Waterside cafe was held in May this year. We were unsure how much interest there would be but 31 people attended and there was some lively conversation. The feedback has been positive and you would like more! Join us for this second Kendal death cafe. We have extended the time by half an hour to allow time for purchasing hot drinks and cakes. The conversations about death and dying are open and non-directed with no set themes or agendas. It is a discussion group rather than grief-support or therapy.
We look forward to meeting both old and new participants on 12th. September beside the river Kent at the lovely Waterside cafe.
About Susie Bulman & Jane Sayer
Jane and Susie have long been interested in the subject of death and dying. Bernard Crettaz said his mission was to liberate death from '..tyrannical secrecy..' Our interest is to help facilitate discussions towards this liberation.
