About this Death Cafe

This This month's Special Edition Death Cafe of Lake County- will honor the creator and original Death Cafe facilitator Jon Underwood. Jon Underwood, the founder of Death Café, did not pass away. He died suddenly last week from acute promyeloctic leukaemia. He was 44. leaving behind a wife, his two children and a wonderful legacy and understanding of life and it's finite impact on all of us. We will take a few moments to honor him and have a quick round of Death Cafe discussions. 

About Gloria Savannah-Austin

Gloria Savannah-Austin is an entrepreneur, artist, writer, free thinker, wife, friend, rule breaker and rebel. She is also a Certified Life-Cycle Celebrant. Officiating Life-Cycle events and passionate about servig families as a Celebrant writing and creating beautiful Life Celebrations and memorials. Deeply schooled in Rituals, Symbolism and other spiritual components that assist her in customizing a ceremony to the unique individual to memorialize them. Her favorite place to walk barefoot is in her dreams and on the beach. Usually by moonlight. Her thoughts and dreams compete in two worlds…the conscious and the subconscious. She loves soft rock music from the 1970’s, hips swaying to the music of life; smelling of sweet amber and patchouli. She passionately tries to live each day to it’s fullest, awakening each day with a clean slate of possibility. Believing that the moon and stars lights her way and illuminates her tiny feet as she swirls, twirls and darts across the pathways that her compass takes her. A true believer in magic and synchronicity, Gloria knows that the best has yet to come and waits with giddy anticipation of what the future may hold.
