About this Death Cafe
Circle of Friends for the Dying's 38th Death Cafe is coming after a winter break! April 27, 2017 from 2 - 4:30 pm at Woodland Pond in New Paltz. Ann Hutton will be presenting "The Wisdom of Writing your Memoir" and the CFD Death Cafe will follow. Come and hear why an "ethical will" or "legacy statement" can bring you into the life of your descendants. Bring a friend if you'd like. Free and open to the public.
About Circle of Friends for the Dying
Circle of Friends for the Dying recognizes the need for us all to have these conversations in a safe, comfortable, supportive space. CFD sponsors Death Cafes around the Hudson Valley so this intention meets the need no matter where you live.
Circle of Friends for the Dying is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization chartered to bring compassionate, competent end-of-life care to the dying and their families.
The mission of Circle of Friends for the Dying is based on an established model of community-centered, volunteer and agency supported end-of-life care, known as a Home for the Dying (aka Comfort Care Home). In July 2015, CFD purchased a house in Kingston, NY to become the first Home for the Dying in the Mid-Hudson Valley. Presently, funds are being raised for renovations and operations. CFD's Home will be renovated with volunteer and financial support and plans to open in 2017.
