About Kathleen Conn

Hello, my name is Kathie Conn and I began my death journey in 2004 when I became an End of Life Healing Transition Celebrant.®  As celebrant I am a professionally trained creator and conductor of ceremonies. This calling is unique in the United States in that, non-religious persons, or persons with spiritual beliefs that are not aligned to a particular church can become legally qualified to perform rites of marriage & death.

I became involved with Death Café in April of 2013, after I was invited to a conference call with Jon Underwood.  As founder of Death Café he shared his belief that we as people do not comfortably talk about death.  I agreed with that concept and realize that these cafés were the venue to get groups of people to gather and chat about their feelings around the subject of death.
